How to reach Rangat

You can hire a cab which will pass through Andaman Grand Trunk Road to reach Rangat. Road to Rangat from Port Blair passes through Jarawa reserves on the west coasts of South and Middle Andaman. It takes around 8 Hours to reach Rangat from Port Blair.

Dhaninallah Mangrove Nature walkway

Dhaninallah Mangrove walkway is located around 20 kms away from Rangat. This is one of the most prized destinations of Andaman and Nicobar Islands. This Mangrove walk way is a true paradise for nature lovers. Dhaninallah Mangrove walkway is a broadwalk through the mangroves which is completely an eco-friendly structure constructed by rejected teak wood logs. This mangrove walkway is 713 mtrs long, “Longest walkway of its kind in the whole country”. This long broad way has halts at intervals, for the visitors to rest for a while and enjoy the nature’s beauty closely. These halts are named after commonly found birds in the locality and the most frequented sea turtle of the Dhaninallah beach ‘Olive Ridley’. This magnificent Mangrove walkway leads to one of the most beautiful beach of Andaman and Nicobar Islands – Dhaninallah Beach. This beach is well equipped with eco-friendly huts, wooden log sofas, tree top huts, sit out area and much more things. The true beauty of this place can be seen during sunrise and under the Cruise. And if you are really lucky you can get the chance to watch turtles nestling inside the sandy beaches. On the whole, it is an amazing experience to walk besides the mangrove forests and experience the nature’s beauty closely. Moricedera Estuary

This beautiful estuary is located around 12 kms from Rangat. Moricedera is a perfect place for picnic with its natural pebble beach, eco friendly beach furnitures, sea facing swings and sitting areas and, its proximity to the sea. There is a natural spring originated from the hills covered with tropical forest which brings fresh sparking water to the estuary thus forms a natural swimming pool of fresh water for the visitors. Moricedera is a perfect place for photography with huge rock formations and sea shells on the sand covered with mangroves on the roof. A walkway in between Twin rocks (a unique rock formation) leads to a spectacular horizon view point which is truly mesmerising.
